Wendy Habelow, Ph.D.
Dr. Habelow is a licensed psychologist and co-owner of Beacon Behavioral Services, LLC, a multispecialty group practice located in Avon and Bloomfield, CT. She has more than two decades of experience working with children, adolescents and adults across the spectrum of behavioral health issues. She believes strongly in using a multidisciplinary approach as the best way to manage the separation and divorce process. She is a certified Mediator and Collaborative Divorce Coach, a Parent Counseling Facilitator and Trainer and an expert in Alternative Dispute Resolution strategies. Working closely with parents, attorneys, financial professionals, judges and family court personnel, she utilizes a variety of interventions, including mediation, co-parent counseling, individual psychotherapy for children and adults, and collaborative consultation to guide families through all stages of the divorce process to minimize conflict and produce outcomes that work best for children.
Dr. Habelow received her B. Sc. from the University of Toronto, her M.A. and Ph.D. from Michigan State University and completed her clinical internship at Yale University. She has been interviewed by NBC 30 Connecticut News for expert advice on a variety of behavioral health topics. Dr. Habelow is a member of the Connecticut Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, the Connecticut Council on Non-adversarial Divorce, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, and is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. She has served as a Special Master at the Regional Family Court in Middletown and the Early Intervention Program in Hartford.
